tacos, jewelry, and girlbosses

As some of her bracelets famously spell out, Nano Anderson of Cuffed by Nano is a BOSS BABE. That's why I was so hyped when I found out her business was local to me, and that I was able to collaborate with her! Cuffed by Nano started when Nano was working a corporate fashion retail job and started designing jewelry on the side as just a way to stay creative and energized outside of work.  Nano says she had no idea it would bloom into what has become Cuffed by Nano, but she kept pushing herself to expand as the brand started to grow.  She took a big leap a year ago and quit her full time job to pursue it full time, and I'm so glad she did!

I discovered the brand when it appeared on my "explore" page on Instagram (follow @cuffedbynano) and I thought the chokers in the photo were too cute and unlike any I had ever seen. Let's face it, chokers can get a reputation for being a little too...early 2000's Britney. But these were fun, subtle, and dainty enough for every day wear. Nano ended up sending me a custom choker which I had "MEG" put on. I love it because it adds a personal touch to any outfit, can be layered with other necklaces, and is just really high-quality.

I styled and wore it to a taco truck festival with Rachel, who took all of these photos for me!

Lastly, I got to ask Nano what advice she would give to young girls interested in starting a business. She said:
Be sure to check out Cuffed on their website and Instagram.
And... keep an eye out for a giveaway on my Instagram!
