Memorial Day OOTD with Jadelynn Brooke

During exam week I was surprised with a big box of goodies courtesy of Jadelynn Brooke on my doorstep. They are an adorable brand that is run from the south by 3 sisters. Even though I live a little north of the Mason-Dixon, their products were still a blast to style! The box was filled with 2 tank tops, 2 koozies, sunnies, stickers, and an adorable beach bag. I've been wearing the tanks non-stop to sleep and study in, but for this outfit I decided to dress things up a little. I wore the "1776" top with J.crew red shorts, Jack Rogers, bangles, and the bag.

This bag is waterproof, has 2 sides with different designs, and a little pouch inside. It is going to make the perfect pool bag!
It's possible that red, white, and blue (navy) are my favorite colors to wear ever.
I would wear this outfit to something very casual like an ice cream date or running errands. Since this weekend was the official opening of the pool, I think this shirt would also make a super soft cover-up.

I hope you all have a sunny Memorial day!

Meg

Blog Design All Grown Up

If you haven't noticed, things look a little different around here! I am in LOVE with my new blog design. Honestly, I've designed and re-designed about seven times and this one is by far my favorite look.
I've been getting some questions about how I did it, and let me just say I cannot take credit for this all. While I come up with a lot of the ideas for the graphics on my blog, the real hero is my friend Sarah from Witty Young Thing. She's a fantastic blogger, super-star blog designer, and an even better person. She's a know-it-all (not in a bad way) when it comes to all the technical stuff (which I am not good at). She turns my "can'ts into cans and my dreams into plans." Without her, I'd probably be back where I started with an entirely pink and not at all clean-looking blog.  I hope you enjoy my new look as much as I do, I can't wait for you to see what is to come.

xx,
Meg

P.S.
Sarah's work is so gorgeous, you can see a blog entirely designed by her over at A Dash of Kait.

The List: Exam Edition

It's an exciting time as everyone begins to get ready for summer. As exciting as that is, with the end of school comes exams. :( Studying for these can be pretty rough, especially when the temperature rises outside and you would much rather be laying outside getting tan or swimming in the pool.

Exams can also be pretty overwhelming, I always get stressed that I forgot to study something. So, I created this template with a section for each exam (you can print as many as needed) to write down what you need to study, and how you plan to do it.

Dress to Impress This Spring

This time of year, we all have some sort of fancy event to go to, whether it's a first communion, graduation, or mother's day brunch. Over the weekend, I attended a first communion and I was super excited to get to dress up. I wore my dress that I got on sale at J.crew (it's not available anymore, but they have some similar ones), nude wedges, a couple of gold Alex and Ani bangles, and a Kate Spade clutch.

If you have an event coming up and are still looking for the perfect dress, click through the widget below for some of my favorites (major swooning involved) and a couple that are similar to the one I wore.

This post was a collab with my friend Renee from Gimme Glamour. She is basically the cutest person ever. Her post is here!
