Summer Morning Routine

I really like mornings. I know some people would want to slap me in the face for saying that, but I am just in love with the way the sun looks, the drowsy, content feeling after a good night's sleep, morning coffee, and a fresh start. Some mornings are different than others for me, but I have a general routine I follow.

So every morning I stay in bed till around 9, whether I'm still sleeping or blogging or watching Netflix. I also like to plan early in the morning to get an organized start.

Then, I'll head downstairs to get something to eat and drink. I'm not a huge breakfast person, but I do love a big bowl of fresh fruit. What I put in my mug changes every day since I'm trying not to get addicted to coffee. I also love tea, lemon & cucumber water, green juice, and smoothies. Speaking of mugs, I recently received the cutest mug from The Monogram Shop (@themonogramshop on Instagram) designed by ABD designs!

Then after I eat I will go and get ready for the day. I like to leave my hair natural in the summer, and I typically only wear mineral powder and mascara on my face. I wash my face with a Clarisonic and a benzoyl peroxide cleanser. I also put on a lot of moisturizer, especially in summer.

After I'm primped, I go to pick out my outfit. Some days I throw on running clothes if I'm working out later, but most days this part takes a while. I think the best start to a day starts with an outfit you feel confident in.

That's it! Then I leave for whatever I have planned. Whether it's shopping, errands, babysitting, or hanging out with friends.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my life.
